A mock is a full reading under a declared clock
A CLAT mock is a practice set you sit so that passage fatigue and section order are not new on the day. It becomes useful after you have a pattern card copied from the Consortium of National Law Universities brochure: sections, any counts the brochure prints, any duration it prints, and any marking rule it states. The note owns the earlier weeks of untimed passages. The owns the brochure. This page owns the sitting and the review. Confirm the scheme on the official authority for the year you are applying. A set whose length you copied from a memory is not yet a CLAT mock. It is a quiz with a timer.
Kanoons Academy does not provide this set. There is no mock engine, no rank list, and no answer key on the site. Do not hunt for a mock-test URL. If you buy or download a series, it remains a private tool. The method below keeps it from impersonating the Consortium.
Conditions for a fair sitting
Write on the cover whether the clock matches a duration you copied from the brochure or is self-set. Write whether the section order matches the brochure. If either answer is no, you may still sit the set for reading stamina, and you may not file the score as pattern-accurate. Sit it once. Do not pause to research a doctrine. Mark guesses. Stop when the clock ends. A set you extend by twenty minutes teaches a different exam, one in which time is free. Time is not free on the day, if the brochure limits it.
Review by section, then by miss type
The total score is the last line you look at. First, split misses by brochure section. Then split them into types: misread a passage's rule, imported outside law, missed a dated fact, mishandled a quantitative step, ran out of time. The type tells the next week what to repair. A single score cannot. The note already names some legal miss types. Use those names so the log stays stable. Change the preparation grid. A mock that does not change the grid was a performance.
Explanations are claims
Read a publisher's solution after you have named your own miss. If the solution cites a case or a section, verify it before you memorise it. Publishers err. A wrong key, memorised, becomes a confident error in the next set. Where the explanation and the passage conflict, the passage governed the item. File "disputed key" rather than forcing yourself to agree. You are not required to defend a commercial key. You are required to be honest about what you did.
Ranks you must not invent
A percentile among other buyers of a series is not a CLAT rank and not an NLU prediction. The note is a different log for a different brochure. Do not average them. Do not post a score as if the academy certified it. Nobody here will certify it. Do not convert a mock total into a "safe" NLU by a formula you saw in a video. The formula needs a cohort this note does not have. Seat matrices and cutoffs, when you need them, are read on the year's official pages, not deduced from Saturday's PDF.
If the set includes a section your brochure dropped, ignore that section's score or resit without it. Loyalty to a publisher's template is how old patterns survive a corrigendum. Your card, dated, is the template.
A hypothetical about a rising graph
Hypothetical. Three Saturdays, three sets, a neat upward graph. Meher has not opened a wrong legal passage. She can tell you the totals and not the miss type. On the fourth Saturday the publisher changes passage style and the graph falls. The earlier rise was style familiarity. The fall is the first honest data.
She keeps the fourth set, tags every legal miss, and does not buy a fifth set until the tags have a repair day. She writes on the graph: practice, not a Consortium rank, not an academy paper. When a friend asks for the institute's CLAT test, she says there is not one, and she points at the map the friend has not built. A set without a map is a mood. A map without a reviewed set is unfinished. Both pieces are required, and neither piece is a rank.
A checklist for one reviewed mock
Do the review before you schedule the next sitting. 1. Check the pattern card against the year's brochure. 2. Label the clock and the section order as brochure-based or self-set. 3. Sit the set once. 4. Tag misses by section and type before you read solutions. 5. Verify any legal citation you intend to keep. 6. Alter next week's repair block to match the dominant type. 7. Confirm on the official authority for the year you are applying that you have not described the set as an official CLAT paper in your notes.
If review time is shorter than sitting time, you are collecting PDFs. Store the next set. Fatigue disguised as volume will not show you the passage habit you still lack. The log is the outcome. The score is a caption.
What remains in the catalogue
Kanoons Academy does not currently list a separate LAWCET, CLAT, or AP LAWCET batch in the catalogue; these notes are study material, and counselling is via . The nearest catalogue course is . That course teaches how to read an Act, a rule, and a judgment note. It is not a CLAT mock series, and the button on this page uses the course's own name.
A reviewed set can make your reading more honest. It cannot promise a National Law University. Anyone who prices a guaranteed rank per mock is not describing this method. Real courses are discussed on the contact page. The scheme is on the Consortium's site.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I open the academy's CLAT mocks?
You do not. There is no mock-test path and no CLAT series in the catalogue. Any set you sit is one you chose, and you should label it practice.
How many mocks are enough?
As many as you can review. Unreviewed scores do not change the next week. The count is your decision, not an official quota stated here.
Should I chase a percentile on a coaching platform?
You may look, and you should not treat it as a Consortium rank. The cohort is other users of that platform. It is not the CLAT cohort.
Can a TS LAWCET mock sit in this log?
No. Note it in the Telangana log if you sit that test. Mixing percentages averages two schemes into a fiction.
What if the mock's length differs from the brochure?
Then it is not pattern-accurate. Use it for reading practice if you want, and do not call the score a CLAT score.
Will faculty mark my mock?
No. The nearest catalogue course is Reading a Statute, which does not grade CLAT papers.
